1Berita – Tokopedia is committed to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to go digital.
Aditia Grasio Nelwan, Head of Communication at Tokopedia, stated that they want MSMEs not only to sell their products locally but also in other regions, even internationally. One of the efforts made is through training.
He conveyed this during the Tokopedia UMKM Go Digital Training event on TikTok held in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (6/5).
“We see a lot of potential for MSMEs to go online, but unfortunately, not many are utilizing the platform yet. So, we hope everyone can take advantage of it, not just selling in the Jogja area but also throughout Indonesia,” said Aditia.
Aditia stated that the training provided by Tokopedia for MSMEs is also part of supporting the government’s efforts to encourage MSMEs to go digital, including how to utilize features like Livestreaming to increase sales.
Not only in Yogyakarta, he continued, Tokopedia will also hold MSME training in other cities. The hope is to have more MSMEs become digitally savvy.
He mentioned that the challenge for MSMEs to go digital lies in mindset since they are accustomed to offline sales. Therefore, Tokopedia encourages MSMEs to start selling online first. If they encounter any difficulties, Tokopedia will assist them.
“There are plenty of resources for MSMEs to learn, including from our social media and website. And there are even communities that MSMEs can leverage to continue learning and adapting to online selling,” he added.
