1Berita – Secretary of the National Campaign Team (TKN) for Prabowo Subianto–Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Nusron Wahid, mentioned that the Secretary-General of PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, is panicking because President Joko Widodo is starting to openly support Prabowo-Gibran, not Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, the PDI-P’s preferred candidate.
Initially, Nusron referred to Hasto, who implied that Prabowo cannot engage with the public as Jokowi or Ganjar does.
Nusron stated that all humans have characteristics that allow them to interact with the community.
“Pak Jokowi goes down to the field, thank God. Pak Ganjar also does, thank God. Pak Prabowo also goes down to the field, thank God. Mas Gibran, following in his father’s footsteps, goes down to the field everywhere. If we don’t engage with the community, listen to their aspirations, where do we get information?” said Nusron when met at the TKN Prabowo-Gibran Medcen, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/1/2024) evening.
According to Nusron, Hasto’s accusation indicates that Hasto is panicking and starting to lose the narrative.
He claimed that Jokowi is now leaning towards Prabowo-Gibran.
“Until now, (PDI-P) has always wanted to be associated with Pak Jokowi. And now it’s clear that they are more inclined to support Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran. This is an expression of confusion. An expression of panic. It’s okay for him to say that,” he explained.
Nusron reiterated that everyone can engage in outreach activities.
Moreover, he said, everyone has the right to engage with the community.
“Engaging can be done by anyone, anywhere, including Pak Prabowo, Mas Ganjar, and Mas Gibran,” Nusron clarified.
Meanwhile, Nusron mentioned that Prabowo is the only presidential candidate with a distinctive brand.
He claimed that other presidential candidates cannot replicate Prabowo’s distinctiveness.
“Others can do everything, but they can’t be distinctive. Only Pak Prabowo has that distinctiveness. Because his physical structure supports it. Others happen to be slender. They can’t be distinctive.
So, I apologize, sir. Convey my greetings to Mas Hasto. If confused, don’t say things like that,” he added.
Previously, the Secretary-General of PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, stated that leaders who can engage with the public are President Joko Widodo and presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo.
According to Hasto, presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, cannot engage with the public as Jokowi and Ganjar do.
“Because those who can engage are Pak Ganjar and Pak Jokowi. Pak Prabowo cannot engage,” said Hasto at the PDI-P DPP office, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/1/2024).
“So in the end, the people can see that in this republic, national leaders who move quickly and can engage are Pak Jokowi and Pak Ganjar. Pak Ganjar and Pak Jokowi,” said Hasto.
