According to the statement from the Presidential Secretariat’s Press, Media, and Information Bureau on Thursday (1/4/2024), Jokowi visited RITA SuperMall Purwokerto. He was accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, and the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi.
Jokowi’s presence was met with enthusiasm by the locals. “Pak Jokowi, Mr. President,” they called out to him.
One visitor, Devasya, described Jokowi as an extraordinary figure. She admired Jokowi for being willing to mingle with the general public.
“It’s truly extraordinary that he’s willing to mingle with the people here, it’s remarkable,” she added.
Another visitor, Dewi, believed that Jokowi’s activities, always blending in with the community, demonstrated that he is a leader connected with the people.
“He’s very down-to-earth, truly admirable,” she remarked.
After an hour of touring, Jokowi, along with the ministers, then returned to the hotel where he was staying during his time in the Banyumas Regency.
