Public Relations Manager of LRT Jabodebek, Mahendro Trang Bawono, mentioned that the service will be extended until 2:00 AM, with an additional 32 trips to enhance service for the public. This decision comes in response to the increased daily ridership during the recent Christmas holiday.

“During the last Christmas holiday, there was an average daily increase in LRT Jabodebek users, prompting us to adjust the schedule and operational hours for today,” he explained in an official statement on Sunday (31/12).

Mahendro predicts that there will be around 50,000 passengers utilizing the added trips and extended operating hours. Consequently, he claims that the organization has prepared for the potential surge in passengers during the New Year’s Eve transition.

He noted that additional personnel have been deployed, focusing on both service and security aspects. Facilities at LRT Jabodebek stations have also been prepared to welcome the arrival of the year 2024.

On another note, Mahendro urges LRT Jabodebek users to comply with applicable rules and regulations, both within the stations and during the journey. LRT Jabodebek expressly prohibits passengers from bringing fireworks and firecrackers.

“For passengers planning to travel using LRT Jabodebek on New Year’s Eve, it is prohibited to carry easily flammable items, such as fireworks, firecrackers, and other combustible materials,” stated the announcement.

“Passengers found in possession of such items will have them confiscated in accordance with the rules,” said the management of LRT Jabodebek.
