    KPK Investigates PDIP Politician Ribka Tjiptaning in Corruption Case

    1Berita News – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined PDIP politician Ribka Tjiptaning today. Ribka was examined in a case of corruption in the protection system for Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) that occurred in 2012.

    “The investigation into the alleged corruption case involving the procurement of TKI protection systems at the Ministry of Manpower with Suspect RU et al. Today took place at the Red and White Building of the KPK, the investigation team scheduled the summoning and examination of witnesses,” said KPK Public Relations Officer Ali Fikri to journalists on Thursday (1/2/2024).

    Ali stated that Ribka had arrived at the KPK building. The examination of the PDIP politician is currently ongoing.

    “Witness Ribka Tjiptaning is already present,” said Ali.

    In addition to Ribka, the KPK investigation team also scheduled two other witnesses to be examined today. These two witnesses are named Ruslan Irianti Simbolon, a civil servant, and a private individual named Bunamas.

    Previously, the KPK re-detained a private individual named Karunia in the case of corruption in the protection system for Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) that occurred in 2012. In total, three suspects in the case have been detained by the KPK.

    The corruption case in the protection system for Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) occurred in 2012. The case began to be investigated last year after the KPK received reports from the public.

    Since July 2023, this case has progressed to the investigation stage. The alleged corruption case has caused billions of rupiah in state losses. The KPK stated that the TKI protection system was dysfunctional due to corruption.
