1BeritaIsraeli forces raided money changers in the West Bank of Palestine on Thursday (28/12) local time, seizing millions of US dollars from the targeted establishments.

Reported by Middle East Eye, the Israeli operation targeted nine money exchange shops in Ramallah, Jenin, and Hebron. Approximately $2.8 million or Rp43 billion was confiscated from one of the money changer shops.

Following the raid, Israeli forces designated five Palestinian money exchange shops as “terrorist organizations.” Israel also accused these money changers of being used to send or transfer funds to Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Earlier, Al Jazeera reported that Israel launched its most intense attacks on cities in the West Bank since the aggression began in Gaza.

At least one person died after Israel conducted coordinated overnight attacks in 10 cities, including Hebron, Halhul, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem, el-Bireh, Jericho, and Ramallah.

“This is an attack like we have never seen in Ramallah, like it has never happened before,” reported Al Jazeera journalist Imran Khan.

He mentioned that the raids started at 01:00 local time on Thursday (28/12) and lasted for four hours, with 20 vehicles entering Ramallah.

Israeli forces were said to use tear gas and stun grenades to clear the streets, then block the road to search the money exchange shops.

With over two months of Israeli aggression in Gaza, 21 thousand people have lost their lives, with the majority of casualties being women and children.
