1Berita – Mayor of Depok Mohammad Idris issues Circular Letter Number 440/07-Dinkes on Alertness for the Increase in COVID-19 Cases.
Idris stated that the Circular letter was issued today, Friday (5/1), due to the rise in positive cases of the coronavirus since late December 2023.
“This Circular letter is issued to provide recommendations to the community because COVID-19 has increased again in the last week of December 2023,” said Mohammad Idris in Depok on Friday.
The issued circular letter follows from the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health Number: HK.02.02/C/4815/2023 and the Circular Letter from the Head of the West Java Health Office Number: 25902/KS.02.01/P2P regarding Increased Alertness for the Surge in COVID-19 Cases.
The circular letter contains several recommendations. First, the residents of Depok are expected not to panic and to continue implementing health protocols in all activities.
Second, wearing masks for those who are sick and in crowds, and reminding each other if someone is coughing or sneezing without a mask.
“Third, by implementing Clean and Healthy Behavior – PHBS – especially washing hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizer,” said Idris.
Fourth, seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, cold, and/or shortness of breath.
Fifth, for people declared positive for COVID-19 without symptoms or with mild symptoms, they are advised to self-isolate for 3 to 5 days or as instructed by healthcare professionals.
Sixth, complete COVID-19 vaccination according to the schedule specified for the elderly, adolescents, or adults with comorbidities or immunocompromised conditions, and pregnant women, which can be obtained at Health Centers, Regional General Hospitals (RSUD), and designated Health Facilities.
“Seventh, to sub-district heads and village heads together with Health Centers to monitor the development of COVID-19 cases in their areas,” he said.
“And eighth, for people in need of COVID-19 information services in Depok City, they can contact the hotline 119,” he added.
