    Anies Baswedan Slapped During Campaign in Pontianak West Kalimantan, AMIN National Team Speaks

    1Berita – A viral video on social media depicts presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, being slapped by a man wearing an AMIN-logo shirt during a presidential campaign event in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, some time ago.

    The video shows Anies, wearing a white shirt, in the midst of a crowd. Suddenly, a man with an AMIN logo on his shirt approaches Anies and appears to slap him on the face.

    Nevertheless, Anies remains calm and continues to smile while walking.

    The Captain of the National Campaign Team for Anies-Muhaimin Iskandar (Team AMIN), Muhammad Syaugi, revealed that the incident occurred when Anies was campaigning in Pontianak on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

    Reflecting on the incident, he stated that they have taken precautions to prevent a similar occurrence in the future.

    “The incident in Pontianak regarding the security of presidential candidate 01. We have taken preventive measures,” said Syaugi at the AMIN Campaign Post in Menteng, Jakarta, on Thursday (28/12).

    Syaugi ensures that they will enhance security measures for Anies and Muhaimin during their campaigns in the future. He also hopes that a similar incident will not happen again.

    “Hopefully, this does not happen again. And I am confident that the many volunteers supporting the candidate 01 are also anticipating such incidents,” said Syaugi.
