1Berita, Turkey – Several media outlets have accused Turkey of being involved in exporting gunpowder, weapons, and ammunition to Israel amidst the escalating conflict between Zionist forces and Gaza, Palestine.

Citing a report from Trading Economics, the online magazine The Cradle claimed that Turkey exported goods and weapons worth nearly US$319 million or about Rp5 trillion to Israel in January.

However, the Turkish Ministry of Defense vehemently denied these allegations.

“The Republic of Turkey, which consistently supports Palestine, will not engage in any activities that could potentially harm Palestine,” stated an official statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

Furthermore, they emphasized, “The Ministry of National Defense does not engage in any activities with Israel, including military training, exercises, and defense industry cooperation.”

As a country that has long opposed Israel’s occupation and aggression towards Gaza, Turkey has demonstrated its solidarity with the Palestinian people. President Erdogan had previously announced three days of mourning as a clear expression of support for the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile, the conflict in Gaza continues since October 7, with Israel continuing its attacks on the region, resulting in casualties, particularly among Palestinian children and women.
