1Berita News – Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto received a courtesy visit from the Australian Chief of the Defence Force, General Angus Campbell, at the Ministry of Defense office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (20/2).
Angus and his delegation arrived around 14:00 WIB and were greeted by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Donny Ermawan. Subsequently, Angus held a meeting with Prabowo for over an hour.
During the meeting, Prabowo stated that he and Angus discussed several matters.
“It’s a courtesy visit, he dropped by. Several issues were discussed, the relationship between our defense communities, between our armies, is very good,” said Prabowo.
He mentioned that Indonesia’s relationship with all countries is good, especially with Australia, which is a neighboring country.
“Our relationship is good with all countries, especially with our neighboring country,” he said.
The meeting between Prabowo and General Angus Campbell is the first of the year.
Previously, in March 2023, they met and discussed defense cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of cadet education and training.
