1Berita News – The International Court of Justice (ICJ), also known as the International Court in The Hague, on Friday (January 26th), officially ordered Israel to take all necessary steps to immediately halt genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The ICJ declared that Israel must ensure that its troops do not commit genocide and also ensure that evidence related to allegations of genocide is not destroyed.
The world court also instructed Israel to prevent and punish those who provoke genocide in Gaza.
In another point of its ruling, the ICJ also demanded that the Israeli government open gates for humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
The ICJ’s decision simultaneously upheld South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel for allegations of genocide in Gaza.
