    President Jokowi Arrives in Bandar Seri Begawan

    1Berita English – President Joko Widodo arrives at Brunei Airport, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, on Saturday, around 17:10 local time, after a state visit to Hanoi, Vietnam.

    Information received in Jakarta on Saturday informs that President Jokowi appeared to be welcomed by the Minister of Defense II, Major General (Ret.) Pehin Halbi bin Mohd. Yussof, Royal Brunei Police Commissioner Mohammad Irwan bin Hambali, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Commander Major General Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Achmad Ubaedillah and his wife, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Bandar Seri Begawan, Colonel Arm. Doddy Suhadiman and his wife.

    From Brunei Airport, President Jokowi headed directly to his overnight accommodation to continue his activities the next day.

    Upon arriving at his overnight accommodation, President Jokowi was welcomed by the local community, traditional peacock dance performances, and children singing.

    In Bandar Seri Begawan, President Jokowi will attend business meetings. Tomorrow, President Jokowi will also attend the wedding of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s son, Prince Abdul Mateen.

    Accompanying President Jokowi on the flight to Bandar Seri Begawan were Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, and Presidential Advisory Council Member Gandi Sulistiyanto.
