1Berita English – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa has officially declared her support for presidential and vice-presidential candidates number 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Khofifah revealed her endorsement at Juanda Airport in Surabaya upon her return from performing the Umrah pilgrimage on Wednesday (10/1).
“As promised, in early January, after Umrah, I would convey my support, and I declare that I support candidate number 2 (Prabowo-Gibran),” Khofifah stated in the VIP Room at Juanda Airport.
Khofifah has also contacted the Secretary of the National Campaign Team (TKN) for Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid. She is ready to join as part of the national campaign team (Jurkamnas).
“Today I contacted Mas Nusron, my TKN secretary, to inform him that I have returned from Umrah. As promised, I am ready to join the TKN,” she said.
“I said, please include me in the team, and then submit the revision to the central KPU (Election Commission). Please include me as a national campaign coordinator,” she added.
She mentioned that, as an active Governor of East Java, she is prepared to follow the existing regulations. Khofifah will apply for leave when actively campaigning for Prabowo-Gibran.
“I am ready to join TKN, I will follow the regulations, so when we go down, we take leave. I will follow according to the existing SOP (Standard Operating Procedure),” she said.
Khofifah stated that her name would be officially included in the TKN today. Nusron will report this to the KPU.
“Mas Nusron said today he would submit the revision to the central KPU, and maybe it will be announced by the TKN tomorrow,” she said.
